I would like to thank Darren for an absolutely brilliant day in demonstrating to me the basic art of photography. I turned up apprehensively, now, I cannot put the camera down, and am confidently exploring and exploiting the camera’s potential- and mine!
The pace and content of the course was ideally suited, well presented and would urge anyone wishing to take up photography, or to master the basics, to learn with Raid Photographic!
Thank you for your excellent Back to Basics course. I really enjoyed being taught by you and it was so kind of you to spend a whole extra hour with me at the end as well. I think after a bit more practise in Sri Lanka I have finally got the basics. You are a testament to hard work, it was great to meet you!
First of all thank you for running a brilliant basic course which I attended today. Your enthuisiasm and confidence in us as students was infectious. I am now looking forward even more to my next course – studio photography.
Great course learnt a great deal, especially the DOF examples and the use of the Exposure Triangle, the painting with light at the end was excellent with the torch and flashgun.
Would recommend the course to anyone starting out. Unfortunately having used the camera for about a year you tend to pick up bad habits it is like playing golf for a year and then having lessons, it is hard to break those bad habits [practices] but this course will certainly make me think before taking another picture regardless of which style, i.e portrait, landscape etc.
Thanks again for passing on your knowledge in a very relaxed way and with all the geeky stuff removed it makes the whole picture clearer, excuse the pun.
Thank you for the extra help Sunday, things made a lot more sense when speaking one to one at the end like that, and I think I’m finally sussing bits out.
I really enjoyed the session Saturday and feel more confident about using my camera in manual mode. It was great to meet like minded people with a variety of experience. I feel I am slowly working towards putting the visions I see in my head in to pictures without spending hours creating them in photo shop!
